DomainSherpa Review – Feb 8: VLOG.com, Film.academy, 888733.com, QUIK.com…

DomainSherpa Review with Michael Cyger, Ammar Kubba, Andrew Rosener and Shane CultraThis is the show where we get into the minds of successful domain name investors – people we call Sherpas – and talk about the value of specific domain names. By listening to the Sherpas, we expand our thought process so we can become more successful investors ourselves.

In this DomainSherpa Review:

  • We learn what the Sherpas bought or sold recently: VLOG.com, PureBreads.com, 888733.com
  • An investor’s portfolio is appraised: Film.academy, Biotech.co, Lead.ly
  • Get your bids in soon for these NO RESERVE NameJet auctions: Symbiotic.com, Quik.com, LifeIsHard.com
  • Plus, much more!

For each domain name portfolio, the Sherpas answer:

  • Which domains are valuable, and in what way?
  • What is the market value (both wholesale and retail) of the best domain names?
  • Which domains are worthless and should be dropped?
  • Which domain names may invite legal issues, such as a UDRP case or cybersquatting lawsuit?
  • Which domains do our Sherpas want to make an offer on?

We’re joined by three Domain Sherpas: Ammar Kubba, Andrew Rosener and Shane Cultra.

  1. Hey Michael… I’ve watched (and learned from…) a lot of your shows & keep forgetting to post a thank-you. Great work. Sometime in the next month or two I’ll be visiting “DomainSherpa.com/Review to show/enter my best guess at my best 25 domains.

Keep up the great work :-)

  2. Liza Loewen says:

Shane, I had to laugh when you said you wouldn’t name your drugstore “drugstore”. It made me think of this hilarious video: https://youtu.be/8yDuvCXDx9c. It’s just over a minute long, but seriously worth a good laugh.

    1. That’s hilarious, Liza. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Michael K says:

    Entertaining and informative show.
Thanks for tackling my “who sells my domains when I die?” question. Sounds like there is really not a good service that exists and I need to write down detailed instructions to leave with my wife and in my will. It would be a fairly long “short course” in how and where to sell specific categories of domains (Post all the numerics on Godaddy, post all the brandbucket names on Namepros, post these 45 names on Namejet individually, post these 37 names in one lot on Flippa, etc. etc.) This could be my summer project! I guess I better make it to summer….

  4. Ken O'Brien says:

    Michael,

It was nice seeing Ammar on the panel. I met Ammar at this years Namescon. Talk about a small world we actually live in the same building.

    He is a class act.

    Cheers

  15. Ikehook says:

I asked Mike Carson last week about non drop catching auctions on park.io. He said he’s thought about it, since lots of people have been asking him, but He needs to find a simple way to do it that’s low hassle. So send him ideas if you have any.

  16. Jay says:
